River flows, storage position of rivers, barrages

Water outflows from the main dams have been increased to meet the irrigation demand

LAHORE: Water outflows from the main dams have been increased to meet the irrigation demand.

According to Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda), the position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages on Tuesday is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 120700 cusecs and Outflows 120200 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 28500 cusecs and Outflows 28500 cusecs, Khairabad Bridge: Inflows 109300 cusecs and Outflow 109300, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 26400 cusecs and Outflows 20000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 41000 cusecs and Outflows 11500 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 157200 cusecs and Outflows 151300 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows: 161300 cusecs and Outflows 140000 cusecs, Taunsa: 143300 Inflows cusecs and Outflows 118000 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 194000 cusecs and Outflows 167400 cusecs Sukkur: Inflows 162200 cusecs and Outflows 119400 cusecs Kotri: Inflows 213900 cusecs and Outflows 200800 cusecs Trimmu: Inflows 36600 cusecs and Outflow 26300 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 58300 cusecs and Outflows 45700 cusecs.

Reservoirs (Level and Storage):

Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1402 feet, present level 1550.00 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.766 MAF.

Mangla: Minimum operating level 1050 feet, present level 1228.30 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.213 MAF.
