Rabbani terms police action attack on Parliament

ISLAMABAD: Former Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani while condemning the presence of police within the precincts of Parliament on Monday night termed it as an attack on the sanctity of Parliament. “This also undermines the sovereignty of Parliament,” he said in a statement while condemning the presence of police in the Parliament on Monday night. Rabbani demanded the Chairman Senate and Speaker National Assembly to take stern action against those who trespassed the Parliament. He said the officials responsible for this action should be suspended immediately. Rabbani said the states that violate the scanty of their institutions cannot command respect amongst their peoples.
