QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti Tuesday directed the Pishin district administration to hire teachers on contract basis to resume educational activities in the schools that have been inactive due to shortage of teachers.

Bugti issued these directives during his visit to Pishin where he met with the tribal elders and residents to listen to their issues, says a press release.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the closure of government schools in the area, he ordered that all closed schools be reopened by December 14. He emphasized his commitment to resolving the public issues and transforming Pishin into a model town. He said a capable and skilled civil officer, Zahid Khan, had been appointed as deputy commissioner Pishin to ensure restoration of peace and launch of development projects in the area. He also offered condolences to Asghar Khan Tareen MPA over the death of his uncle Haji Abdul Nabi.
