LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) summoned the attorney general on Monday concerning the non-implementation of the court’s decision on reserved seats.
Justice Rahil Kamran Sheikh, while summoning the AG for September 11, said that the Supreme Court’s decision must be implemented at all costs. The court inquired whether the PTI had filed the application directly. The court clarified that it is not connected with any political party and must make decisions based on the law and Constitution. The focus is to determine if the Constitution has been implemented properly. The state counsel argued that the matter of reserved seats is still pending a hearing in the Supreme Court and requested that the petition be declared non-maintainable. The petitioner had challenged the non-implementation of the Supreme Court’s decision on the issue of reserved seats.
