Report sought

JHANG: Taking notice of public complaints, District Development Committee’s Secretary/District Officer Planning Tariq Javed has sought progress report from Provincial Highways Department’s executive engineer regarding construction and widening of city road project.
Talking to The News, the DDC secretary said some public complaints had been received that the road project was to be completed in 2012, but the project completion report had not been submitted to the district government. The complaints also pointed out that cracks could easily be seen on Yousaf Shah Road, Session Road and other Chowks, he added. He said it was mandate of the district government to get progress reports of ongoing development projects from the department concerned. He said the report would be submitted to the DDC.
