Front desks to be set up in all police

stations of Faisalabad Range

FAISALABAD: Front desks would be established in all police stations of Faisalabad Range, said RPO Bilal Siddique Kamiana.

This was stated by the RPO while inaugurating first two front desks at City and Rail Bazaar police stations. He said front desks would be set up in 24 police stations forthwith.

Speaking on the occasion, CPO Afzal Ahmad Kausar said main objective of establishing front desks was to bridge gap between the police and the people. He said educated staff having good manners and repute would be posted at these desks. He said investigation officer would be bound to send his report after receiving any complaint at these desks and a case would be registered after proper verification. He appealed to the citizens to lodge their complaints at these desks for early justice.

Briefing the RPO and CPO, senior station assistant of City police station front desk said the people would submit their complaints/applications to the front desk which would send the complaints after scanning to the IGP Office and also forward those to police beat officer who would be bound to investigate facts of the complaint within 24 hours.

 

Two awarded death for killing their three brothers

FAISALABAD: Anti-Terrorist Court Judge Raja Pervaiz Akhtar on Wednesday awarded death sentence on six counts to two brothers, Amir Ali and Murtaza, for killing three of their brothers.

The court also awarded life imprisonment with Rs 7 million fine to each convict. The court, however, acquitted Zahida Bibi and Zubaida Bibi giving them the benefit of the doubt.

According to the prosecution, Amir Ali and Murtaza burnt three of their brothers, Niaz Ahmad, Anwar Hassan and Ghulam Murtaza, alive over distribution of property in March 2005 at Chak 455/GB. The convicts also set their house on fire.
