Sarhad Business Alliance names candidates for SCCI election

PESHAWAR: The five-member committee of the Sarhad Business Alliance (SBA) has finalized the names of the candidates for the annual election of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

A press release said the committee’s meeting was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of the SBA Patron-in-Chief, Ghulam Ali.SBA Chairman Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Malik Mehr Elahi, Muhammad Ishaq, while Malik Sajjad represented Sharafat Ali Mubarak at the meeting.

The names of the candidates were finalized for the Associate and Corporate groups for the 2024-26 elections of the SCCI.The committee selected 10 candidates for the Associate and Corporate groups, including two women members. The members of the committee said selection ensured that every sector received representation in the chamber elections.

They clarified that those who were not selected for the election would be adjusted in key chamber committees and various government boards after the group’s success in the SCCI election.

The candidates selected for the Associates Group were: Shah Rukh Khan, Aashiq Muhammad, Riaz Hussain, Ikramullah, Bakht Mir Durani, Arshad Mahmood, Ghulam Bilal Javid, Sher Zaman, Muhammad Akram, Shehzad Arif, Adnan Jaleel, and Haris Khalid.

For the Corporate Group, the following candidates were selected: Dr. Yousaf Sarwar Mohmand, Mohsin Sajjad, Imtiaz Khan, Luqman Shah, Manzoor Elahi, Dr. Mohib Afridi, Atif Shahzad, Farhat Qayyum Piracha, Mamoor Khan, and Abidullah Yousafzai.
