Martyred cop, brother laid to rest
LAKKI MARWAT: A cop and his brother, who were martyred on Saturday night, by unidentified gunmen were laid to rest in Abbakhel village on Sunday.
The family sources said that Head Constable Safiullah and his brother Naveedullah were returning from the mosque after offering isha’a prayer when unidentified gunmen riding motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on them, leaving them seriously injured. The accused escaped the scene while the relatives shifted them to the City Hospital Lakki where they succumbed to their injuries. The funeral prayer for the deceased was offered at 7:30am at the Abbakhel village where a large number of people attended the last ritual.
Meanwhile, a grand jirga of the Abbakhel villagers was held which was attended by the members of Marwat Qaumi Jirga, Faridullah Khan Minakhel, Kifayatullah and Hidayatullah Khan.
