LAHORE: The Lahore Race Club saw a day filled with both expected victories and surprising outcomes in its Sunday races, as competitors vied for top honours in several events.
The opening race of the day, the Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider Cup, saw a notable upset as Royal Macs clinched victory. The favourite, Silent Melody, was edged out into second place, while Super Power, a well-anticipated competitor, finished third.
In the second race, the Hawaldar Lalak Jan Cup, Absolutely Not emerged as the unexpected winner, defeating the favourite Not Luckvir, who settled for second place. Vitoria, another top contender, finished in third place, failing to secure a higher position as anticipated.
The Sawar Muhammad Hussain Cup, the third race of the day, saw the favourite Lady Champion take the top spot. The result was less predictable for the following places, with Self Belief securing an unexpected second place, and Generosity, a surprise contender, rounding out the top three in third place.
In the fourth race, the Captain Muhammad Sarwar Cup, Desert Crown lived up to its status as the favourite by winning convincingly. Wynx, a surprise entrant, finished in second place, while Puerto Rico, expected to place higher, ended up in third.
