LAHORE: Nadeem Khan, Director of High-Performance Centre PCB and Tournament Director for the Champions Cup, on Saturday emphasised the significance of the event in a conversation with PCB Digital.
He highlighted that the idea for the Champions One-Day Cup was first proposed in April and launched in July, with the intention of bringing together the best players from local competitions to prepare them for international challenges. The inaugural Champions One-Day Cup, a marquee event in Pakistan’s domestic cricket calendar, is set to take place at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium from September 12 to 29.
“For the first time, each of the five teams has been assigned a regional academy, allowing the players to train and refine their skills throughout the year,” Nadeem Khan explained.
