ISLAMABAD: Amna Baloch, a Grade-22 officer of Foreign Service of Pakistan, has been appointed as Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Amna Baloch was posted as Pakistan’s Ambassador to European Union in Belgium. She will take charge of her office on September 11 this month.
The current Foreign Secretary Muhammad Cyrus Sajjad Qazi is retiring on September 10. Cyrus Sajjad has been appointed as a member of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).
Meanwhile, Khaliq-ur-Rahman, a Grade-20 officer of the Secretariat Group awaiting appointment, has been appointed as Joint Secretary Ministry of Industry and Production.
Assistant Director Jawaria Saleem posted on deputation in Board of Investments has been transferred and her services have been returned to Competition Commission of Pakistan.
Appointments and transfers of section officers posted in federal ministries and divisions have also been made. Section Officer Sajid Khan has been transferred from Interior Division to Establishment Division, Section Officer Ali Faisal from Establishment Division to Finance Division and Section Officer Anam Jamal from Establishment Division to Finance Division, Military Finance Wing. Rida Fatima, Deputy Director Regional Information Office, PID Peshawar, has been transferred and posted as Section Officer Qaumi Wirsa Division on deputation. Mohammad Afzal has been appointed Section Officer Establishment Division.
