ISLAMABAD: The district administration has issued a notification along with 42 conditions and an official route plan for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally on September 8. Separate roadmaps have been issued for processions coming from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab via the motorway and GT Road. Route plans have also been provided for the federal capital, Rawalpindi, and Murree. During the rally, the organisers would be responsible for ensuring protection of citizens’ basic rights.

According to the notification, the rally would start at 4:00pm and end at 7:00pm. Participants will not be allowed to hold any sit-ins and permission is granted only for September 8.

The organisers must ensure that participants return on the same night. The internal security of rally would be the responsibility of organisers. Speeches or slogans against the state or promoting religious hatred would not be permitted.

Meanwhile, talking to the media, PTI Islamabad chapter president Amir Mughal confirmed that the DC Islamabad has issued an NOC for the party rally on his request and the place of Sangjani Chowk, Main GT Road, has been allocated for the public meeting on September 8.

“PTI is going to hold the biggest rally in the history of Islamabad for which special arrangements have been made for women and families in the meeting. I invite people from all over the country including Pindi and Islamabad to participate in it,” Amir Mughal said.
