LAHORE:Scattered but light rain was witnessed in the City here Thursday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met officials said a shallow westerly wave was prevailing over upper parts of the country. They predicted that mainly hot and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-wind/thundershower was likely at isolated places in northeast Punjab, Pothohar region, Kashmir, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rainfall was recorded at several cities across the country. Thursday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Nokkundi where mercury reached 42°C, while in Lahore, it was 34.2°C and minimum was 25°C.
