KARACHI: CIRCLE Women Association, in partnership with Hugo Bank and Unilever Pakistan, concluded the finale of She Loves Tech 2024.
KangarooCareAI, a startup dedicated to improving neonatal healthcare, took home the top prize of Rs300,000. Agri Gel, a company developing sustainable agricultural solutions, was awarded second place and received Rs150,000.
Held in Karachi, the finale featured a competitive lineup of eight promising startups that pitched their groundbreaking ideas to a panel of judges, vying for the grand prize of Rs300,000 and the second-place award of Rs150,000 sponsored by Unilever Pakistan.
Founder and CEO of CIRCLE Women Association Sadaffe Abid emphasized the significance of She Loves Tech in Pakistan’s tech landscape. “Given the country’s gender gap and one percent representation of women in entrepreneurship, this platform is crucial for empowering female innovators,” she said.
Former governor of the State Bank Dr Ishrat Hussain and CEO and Co-Founder of Hugo Bank Atyab Tahir also attended the event. The panel of judges assessed the eight selected startups’ pitches. These startups include Code School, EPO, TB AI, Agri Gel, Eco Bricks, Salam Kids, Be Me and KangarooCareAI.
