PESHAWAR: Commissioner Riaz Khan Mahsud on Wednesday called for effective utilization of all available resources to ensure the maintenance of law and order across the five districts of the Peshawar division.
Chairing a meeting of the Divisional Intelligence Coordination Committee, he urged civil and military institutions to work in close coordination to maintain peace and stability in the region.The commissioner also stressed the need for taking special security measures to protect foreign nationals working on mega projects in Mohmand, Khyber and Nowshera districts.
The meeting, which reviewed the prevailing law and order situation in Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, and the tribal districts of Mohmand and Khyber, was attended by senior officials, including the deputy commissioners and district police officers of all five districts.
During the session, the participants discussed the current security challenges and reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order in their respective areas. The meeting concluded with a consensus on the importance of enhanced coordination between civil and military institutions to address security concerns, particularly in sensitive regions.
The commissioner underscored the importance of proactive measures to safeguard the lives and properties of citizens, with a special emphasis on ensuring the safety of foreign nationals involved in key development projects.
