LAHORE:Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood planted saplings of fruit trees near Gate No-3 and in lawn of the PU Club, regarding tree plantation drive.
In this regard, ceremonies were attended by the Chairperson of Department of Gender Studies Dr Ra'ana Malik, Chairman PU Club Dr Munawar Iqbal, faculty members and others. In his address, Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood said that 'Green Pakistan' is a guarantee to restore the country's natural beauty and promote sustainable development by planting trees, reducing pollution, and conserving natural resources for a healthier environment.
Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood also urged the teachers to plant trees in their surroundings and look after them for a better future.
