Nestle hosts training on ecotourism in Naran
KARACHI: Nestle Pakistan recently conducted a two-day training workshop on ecotourism and sustainable waste management in Naran, as part of the Travel Responsibly for Experiencing Ecotourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TREK) initiative.
The programme aligns with the company’s vision of a waste-free future, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.The TREK initiative has already trained over 450 participants from the public and private sectors across several regions, including Abbottabad, Swat, Galiyat, Chitral, Peshawar, Kumrat, and Naran. The training sessions covered various topics such as waste categorization, recycling importance, waste audits, basic food safety, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) compliance. Attendees included representatives from the hospitality sector, government agencies and civil society organizations.
