LAHORE: Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Omar Ayub Khan has criticised the current government for severely damaging the country’s economy.
Speaking to the media during his visit to Lahore on Tuesday, Omar Ayub Khan, who is also a former federal minister, accused the coalition of PMLN, PPP and MQM of leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to ruin Pakistan’s economy.
He claimed that during the PTI era, the country was advancing, with a robust economy and high reserves.
In response to a question, he said that party founder Imran Khan had tasked political leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai with holding negotiations with other political parties.
Addressing another query, he said that Federal Minister Khawaja Asif appeared to have lost his mental equilibrium and claimed that fake medical reports of Nawaz Sharif had been presented before the cabinet.
Omar Ayub said that he only sought forgiveness from God for his sins and mistakes and confirmed that the PTI would hold a public meeting on September 8, regardless of any obstacle.
