‘Maryam taking practical steps for provision of facilities to masses’

MULTAN: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is taking practical steps for providing maximum relief to the masses at their doorstep.

It was said by Punjab Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, Crime Surveillance and Special Monitoring Unit chairperson Brigadier (retd) Babar Alaudin during his visit to South Punjab Secretariat.

He met with South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Fuad Hashim Rabbani. During the meeting, Babar Alaudin said that resolving public issues promptly was the top priority of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

He highlighted that easy access of the public to government officials. Alaudin praised the role of the South Punjab Secretariat in ensuring the timely completion of development projects and noted that the completion of the new secretariat building would further expedite the resolution of public issues.

He commended the plan to establish an IT Park in collaboration with the South Punjab Secretariat and the Multan Chamber of Commerce, calling it an excellent idea and pledging his full support for its establishment.

South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Fuad Hashim Rabbani briefed him on the performance of the Secretariat and the profile of the South Punjab. He stated that a plan was underway to establish an IT Park in South Punjab under the public-private partnership, with the government providing the land and the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry investing in the project.

He informed that preparations for the second phase of the ‘No Child Left Out of School’ were underway and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif would be invited to inaugurate the project soon. The ACS highlighted that the Secretariat was the first government institution to develop a policy for using artificial intelligence for good governance and traffic control.

Earlier, speaking at a seminar at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, Crime Surveillance and Special Monitoring Unit chairperson Brigadier (retd) Babar Alauddin said that students should play their role for the uplift of the country. He encouraged the students to come and join the progress of the country.

He said that Pak Army was the guarantor of the defence of the country. The country’s defence was in the strong hands of the Pak Army. The Pak Army had been fighting against terrorism for the last 34 years, he added.

He said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif had started many initiatives for the youths. He told that an internship programme had been started for the youths. The Punjab government was providing electric bikes to male and female students, he informed.He said that South Punjab was rapidly developing and in a few months, the Punjab government had launched more than 100 initiatives.
