World biennale art festival from Oct 5
LAHORE:Different versatile art programmes will be held from October 5 to November 8 at all historical and cultural places in City.
Under the chairmanship of Commissioner Zaid bin Maqsood, a meeting was held regarding four-week-long third ‘world biennale art promotion programmes' under Lahore Biennale Foundation here Tuesday. According to the foundation's briefing, artists from 42 countries of the world will participate in the art and culture programmes and their art related to Lahore will be presented with Lahore’s and Pakistan’s artists. The commissioner said Lahore is included in the literary cities of the world, the literary and cultural image of Lahore will be strengthened through such programmes and will go a long way for the promotion of creative art and culture of Lahore. He said that according to the briefing, all over Pakistan and foreign delegates and artists are participating.
Best arrangements will be made, he said and directed departments to issue NOCs according to the rules and give full cooperation. The commissioner was informed that art exhibitions, conferences, poetry gatherings and art dialogue will be held from October 5 to November 8.
