Girls outshine boys in Inter exam
LAHORE:Girls outshined boys in the Intermediate First Annual Examination 2024 of the Lahore Board as they bagged two out of the top three positions.
Rida Fatima of a private college secured the overall first position with 1,153 marks out of total 1,200 marks while the second position was shared by two female students including Kashaf Ajwa of Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Muridke, Sheikhupura and Asma Ijaz (of a private college) both secured 1,152 marks each. Usairam Ahmed of GC University (GCU) Lahore bagged the overall third position with 1,150 marks.
The names of the top position holders (high achievers) were announced at the office of Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore here on Tuesday. The complete result of the BISE Lahore’s Intermediate First Annual Examination 2024 will be announced on Wednesday (today).
Meanwhile, around three students of Commerce and Humanities group will not be given the award of position in Intermediate Exams despite securing more marks than other students as they could not complete Intermediate continuously and uninterruptedly in two years after Matric.
Lahore Board Chairman/Commissioner Lahore Zaid bin Maqsood said that as per Rule (1) 14 of Lahore Board, those students who could not complete Intermediate continuously and uninterruptedly in two years after Matric could not get the award of position. In such cases, the award of position is given to the candidates next to such students in terms of marks secured.
