Murder of Teefi Butt’s brother-in-law; four booked

LAHORE:Ichhra police have registered a case against four individuals for the murder of Javed Butt, who was the brother-in-law of Teefi Butt.

Teefi Butt and Gogi Butt were main suspects in the murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu. The case was registered against Amir Fateh, brother of deceased Ameer Balaj Tipu, Qaiser Butt and two others on the complaint of Hamza Javed, son of deceased Javed Butt.

The police have charged the suspects under Sections 302 (murder), 324 (attempted murder), and 334 (causing hurt) of the Pakistan Penal Code. According to Hamza Javed’s statement, his father Javed Butt was ambushed while travelling in his vehicle near Shah Jamal traffic signal. Four individuals on two motorcycles allegedly opened fire on the vehicle, resulting in Javed Butt's death and injuries to his mother, who sustained wounds in her shoulder and leg. He said Amir Fateh and Qaiser Butt were sitting behind the motorcyclists during the attack.

Addicts kill man

A person was killed by drug addicts in the limits of Shad Bagh police station on Tuesday. According to the police, the victim identified as Sahil, a resident of Misri Shah, had come to Huzuri Shah Darbar to meet his brother-in-law, where drug addicts stabbed and seriously injured him. He was rushed to Mayo Hospital but could not survive.

Woman found dead

A 35-year-old woman died under mysterious circumstances in Hajipura, Nawankot, here Tuesday. The victim was identified as Afshan. Her family has accused her husband, Muhammad Ali, of murder. Body has sent to morgue.

Youth electrocuted

An 18-year-old youth died of electrocution in Chowki police Firdous Market area Tuesday. The victim identified as Zain Aamir of Makkah Colony accidentally came in contact with a broken electricity wire, as a result, he received a severe electric shock. He was rushed to the Services Hospital where he expired.

Two found dead

Two people were found dead at separate locations here Tuesday. A 30-year-old man was found dead in Kot Lakhpat police area and a 50-year-old man was found dead near Masjid-e-Shuhada.
