Vegetable prices cut, but not implemented
LAHORE:Further reduction in the rates of the majority of the seasonal vegetables recorded on the second consecutive week. But the reduction in the rates is only observed in the official rate lists as it wasn’t implemented in the markets, expect the social media platforms where ACs are posting their performance.
The new deputy commissioner apparently strict towards the consumer prices. However, his strictness also limited to the social media platforms where his orders and instructions are being issued for price implementations. So, the ACs are following the orders by showing their performance on social media platforms. This week price of chicken increased by Rs6 per kg, fixed at Rs380-394 per kg, sold at Rs450-480 per kg and chicken meat by Rs9 per kg, fixed Rs571 per kg, and sold at Rs600-900 per kg.
The price of potato soft skin increased by Rs3 per kg, fixed at Rs82-88 per kg, sold at Rs150 per kg, B-grade at Rs70-75 per kg, and C-grade at Rs55-60 per kg, mixed sold at Rs120-130 per kg. The price of onion A-grade gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs132-140 per kg, sold at Rs180-200 per kg, B-grade at Rs114-120 per kg, and C-grade by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs100-105 per kg, mixed sold at Rs130-150 per kg.
The price of tomato A-grade reduced by Rs30 per kg, fixed at Rs97-105 per kg, sold at Rs180-200 per kg, B-grade at Rs84-90 per kg, and C-grade at Rs70-75 per kg, mixed sold at Rs150-160 per kg.
The price of garlic local gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs370-385 per kg, sold at Rs500-600 per kg, Garlic Harnai by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs395-410 per kg, sold at Rs600 per kg, Garlic GI variety unchanged at Rs165-170 per kg, sold at Rs350-400 per kg and Garlic China by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs490-510 per kg, sold at Rs800-1000 per kg.
The price of Ginger Thai unchanged at Rs565-585 per kg, and Ginger Chinese gained by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs570-590 per kg, both sold at Rs800-1000 per kg. Cucumber Farm was unchanged at Rs95-100 per kg, sold at Rs140-160 per kg, and cucumber local price fixed at Rs105-110 per kg, sold at Rs200 per kg.
Brinjal price was further declined by Rs90 per kg, fixed Rs67-70 per kg, sold at Rs100-120 per kg. Bitter gourd price reduced by Rs30 per kg, fixed at Rs115-120 per kg, sold at Rs200-220 per kg.
The price of spinach unchanged at Rs57-60 at Rs100-120 per kg. Zucchini local was gained by Rs15 per kg, fixed at Rs170-175 per kg, sold at Rs250 per kg. The lemon local further gained by Rs30 per kg, fixed at Rs560-580 per kg, sold at Rs800-1,000 per kg. Turnip price increased by Rs30 per kg, fixed at Rs125-130 per kg, sold at Rs250 per kg. Beetroot was sold at Rs400 per kg. Beans price increased by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs135-250 per kg, sold at Rs400-500 per kg.
The price of different variety of apples fixed at Rs150-400 per kg, sold at Rs200-500 per kg. The price of Banana A-category declined by Rs20 per doze, fixed at Rs130-135 per dozen, sold at Rs180-200 per dozen, and B-category fixed at Rs95-100 per dozen, sold at Rs130-150 per dozen, and C-category fixed at Rs70-74 per dozen, sold at Rs100-120 per dozen. Guava price was increased by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs100-150 per kg, sold at Rs180-250 per kg. Pomegranate desi was unchanged at Rs240-250 per kg, sold at Rs350-400 per kg, pomegranate qandhari was fixed at Rs260-270 per kg, sold at Rs350-400. Grapes Sunderkhani gained by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs365-380 per kg, sold at Rs500-520 per kg, grapes gold by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs195-205 per kg, sold at Rs350-400 per kg. Mangoes of different variety was gained by Rs45 per kg, fixed at Rs120-300 per kg, sold at Rs220-600 per kg.
