KARACHI: The syndicate of Karachi University (KU) has cancelled the degree and enrolment of an LLB candidate, who, according to sources, occupies an important post within the legal system in Islamabad.
The cancellation of the degree came after a syndicate meeting approved recommendations of the Unfair Means Committee of the university.
According to sources, the LLB candidate’s degree was cancelled on the basis of two different enrolment cards.
According to a press release of the university, the syndicate members have approved the recommendations of the Unfair Means Committee, which has proposed cancellation of degrees and enrolment cards of candidate(s) who were found having committed unethical acts. The syndicate meeting was chaired by KU Vice Chancellor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi.
