Abductors have unconditionally released Army officer, relatives: ISPR

Lt Col Khalid Ameer, along with his close relatives, was abducted by some unknown people from a masjid of DI Khan, where he had gone to attend funeral of his father a few days back

RAWALPINDI: A serving officer of Pakistan Army Lt Col Khalid Ameer and three of his other relatives have been released by abductors, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said.

“Safe and unconditional release of Lt Col Khalid Ameer and three of his other relatives has been secured due to the role played by tribal elders and local notables and all the abductees have safely returned home,” the ISPR said.

Lt Col Khalid Ameer, along with his close relatives, was abducted by some unknown people from a masjid of Hadarkhel area of Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan, where he had gone to attend funeral of his father a few days back.
