PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Saturday declared 3 MPO null and void and directed the Kurram district administration to release all the arrested accused 0on bail.

A division bench of the PHC comprising Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Khurshid Iqbal while hearing the writ petitions of arrested persons, declared the 3 MPO illegal and asked deputy commissioner Kurram to release the accused on bail.

Kamran Khan Afridi, counsel for the petitioners Samiuallah and Muhamamd Sahib Khan, told the court that his clients had been arrested by the Kurram district administration on August 18 last. He pleaded that the DC Kurram had arrested the petitioners under 3 MPO after the district police officer provided information. He said that DC arrested the accused without any solid evidence and prayed the court to order their release.
