ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan Friday alleged that her brother was getting a harsh treatment as “they wanted to punish him at the earliest in the GBP190 million case”.
Speaking to the media outside the Adiala jail, Aleema said that members of the family are not allowed to meet Imran, while more than three people are not being permitted to see the PTI founder. The reason for all this, she claimed, is the September 8 public meeting and these people are afraid of it. Only Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz were allowed to meet Imran on Friday while other leaders were sitting outside.
Aleema Khan said that on Friday, when they applied for bail in the Toshakhana case, the prosecution said that they were not prepared and the judge also gave the date for Monday.
She noted that if the PTI founder was punished in the GBP190 million case, he would be granted bail by the high court. Aleema Khan said that cases of terrorism had been registered against women.
Separately, talking to the media outside the Parliament House, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that Imran Khan himself did not talk about his cell as the party leaders saw the condition of his cell. He claimed that since the inception of the PTI, they have done public politics.
