Three held for allegedly inciting public
MANSEHRA: The police on Friday claimed to have arrested three clerics for allegedly inciting participants of a gathering to attack and kill members of a minority community.
“We have arrested three clerics who instigated the participants of a public gathering to attack and kill members of a minority community and also hurled threats to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chief of army staff,” Anis Khan, the SHO Shinkiari Police Station, told reporters here.
He said Maulana Habib Shah, Maulana Tanzilur Rehman and Munawar Shah had gone underground last week after the gathering and the police arrested them from the Dhodial area here.He added that the police party raided the possible hideouts in Dhodial and its adjoining villages and arrested them under sections 7ATA, 18PECA2016, and 16MPO/34LSA AND 506.
