Physiotherapy centre opens at Charsadda hospital

CHARSADDA: The district administration here on Friday inaugurated a physiotherapy centre in collaboration with the social welfare department to provide treatment facilities to the disabled children.

Also, the district administration held a blood donation camp for the children from various blood related ailments. The camp was held with the view to collect for the children suffering from various diseases.

The physiotherapy centre was inaugurated at the Begum Nasim Wali Kahn Social Welfare Complex.Deputy Commissioner, Charsadda, Qaiser Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shahbaz Khattak, District Social Welfare Officers Saeed Mohammad, District Health Officer Dr Wasayullah and other officials were present.

The deputy commissioner, additional deputy commissioner and other officials donated blood for the children.Later talking to reporters, the deputy commissioner said that the Autism and Cerebral Palsy Child Unit had been established at the district to provide treatment facilities to the children suffering from such diseases.

He said that at present about 1.5 children were suffering from autism and cerebral palsy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The deputy commissioner said besides physiotherapy therapy, the newly established centre would provide treatment facilities for down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other diseases.
