Islamabad:Khazar Faradov, the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, visited Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL), on Friday, alongwith his spouse Tarana Farhadova, says a press release.
He met the Chairperson Prof. Dr. Najeeba Arif and the Director General Sultan Nasir and reiterated the resolve to further strengthen bilateral relations, specially in areas of culture and literature.
The envoy threw light on the history of cultural and economic ties between the two countries. He told that the Multani Caravanserai located in Baku is a testament to the deep-rooted historical ties between the two countries. He also valued the Azerbaijan’s national poet Nizami Ganjavi’s works as a binding force. The chairperson and the envoy agreed upon continuing efforts to strengthen the bilateral ties. They discussed arrangements for mutual translations of each other’s important literary works. The chairperson said that strengthening of cultural and literary ties will pave the way for collaboration and coordination in other spheres of life also.
