LAHORE:Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik M Ahmad Khan along with Deputy Speaker Zaheer Iqbal Chantra led a delegation of Punjab Cabinet members on an official visit to the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority also known as CBD Punjab here on Friday.
Punjab Assembly Speaker lauded the efforts of CBD Punjab noting that these projects symbolise a bright future for Pakistan. He highlighted the importance of completing the Walton Road Upgradation project in alignment with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The delegation included Provincial Minister for Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir, Minister for Food Bilal Yasin, Minister for Industries Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar, Minister for Local Government and Community Development Zeeshan Rafiq and Minister for Communication and Works Malik Sohaib Bherth.
Chairman of the Board Barrister Syed Azfar Ali Nasir, CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin, COO Brig (retd) Mansoor Janjua alongwith senior officials received the delegation. Secretary Punjab Assembly Ch Aamir Habib, SMBR Nabeel Javed, Secretary Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering (HUD & PHED) Capt (retd) Asad Ullah Khan Special Secretary HUD & PHED Tayyab Fareed and Secretary Agriculture Kazim Khan were also present on this occasion.
During the visit, Imran Amin provided an in-depth briefing on the ongoing and upcoming projects under CBD Punjab, emphasising their critical role in driving economic growth and development within the region.
The delegation was presented with a detailed documentary and a comprehensive presentation on key projects, including the Walton Road Upgradation project. The members of the Punjab Cabinet recognised these initiatives as transformative for the province's development underlining their potential to attract both international and local investments thereby securing a prosperous future for Punjab.
Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin commended the authority's achievements stating that the progress and potential of CBD Punjab are indeed remarkable. The authority’s dedication to transparency, particularly in its dealing involving government-owned land and government-to-government transactions, sets a high standard.
Imran Amin acknowledged the unwavering support and trust of Punjab govt and the Punjab Cabinet. He further highlighted the significant accomplishments of CBD Punjab in a short span of time reaffirming the authority’s commitment to transforming Punjab’s development landscape.
