LAHORE: The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) hosted an awareness seminar on the new ‘eZfile’ portal, the Companies Regulations 2024, and the Company Regularization Scheme (CRS) at the FPCCI Lahore Regional Office on Friday.

FPCCI Vice President and Regional Chairman Zaki Aijaz said that the seminar aimed to inform private, listed and non-listed, companies about the SECP’s updated rules and regulations, helping them meet their legal obligations more effectively.

Aijaz emphasized the FPCCI’s commitment to providing a dynamic platform for its members and the business community to enhance their knowledge and stay updated with modern business practices.

He also highlighted the SECP’s essential role in Pakistan’s economic development and how the FPCCI’s collaboration with the SECP, through such sessions, benefits the corporate sector by improving the business environment.

The seminar was attended by Joint Registrar of the SECP Saboohi Israr and Additional Joint Registrar of the SECP Ali Wahid, who engaged a diverse audience of company representatives and young entrepreneurs.

Israr provided insights into the new eZfile interface, which simplifies navigation through the registration process; offers easier access to information; and streamlines document submission. The session also covered key features of the Companies Regulations 2024, including simplified procedures and reduced statutory forms, as well as details on the company regularization scheme.

Wahid discussed the benefits of the eZfile portal, companies regulations, and the company regularization scheme, presenting them as opportunities for non-compliant companies to address their pending returns. He praised the portal for its user-friendly design, seamless processes, and advanced features that facilitate smooth navigation.

Aijaz concluded by thanking the attendees and expressing hope that such innovative and informative sessions will support young entrepreneurs and the business community in registering their ventures with the SECP.
