LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the Chief Minister Internship Program here on Wednesday. “We want to guide youths to the path of financial independence in a dignified manner,” she said while launching the program.
Youths aged between 18 and 25 can register for the internship program at www.cmip.punjab.gp.pk. The selected interns will get placement opportunities in prominent private sector institutions.
The chief minister said: “6,000 internships spanning over six months will be accommodated in Phase-1 and the interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs25,000 during the internship period. In the program, preference will be given to graduates who completed their degrees in the last two years.”
Meanwhile, Maryam has expressed grief over the loss of human lives due to electrocution and collapse of roof during torrential rains. She offered condolence to the bereaved families and directed providing medical treatment to the injured.
