ISLAMABAD: PTI founder Imran Khan has filed a miscellaneous petition in the Islamabad High Court regarding his meetings with lawyers and political leaders.Imran Khan had previously obtained relief through petitions on this matter. The petition names the interior secretary, chief commissioner, and superintendent of Adiala Jail as respondents.
The petition, filed through Barrister Ali Zafar, requests the full implementation of the IHC's February 26 order, which allows six lawyers and six political leaders to meet Imran Khan twice a week. However, the petition alleges that the jail authorities are not fully complying with this order. It is stated in the petition that Imran Khan is currently in jail on judicial remand and is not serving a sentence in any case.
The petition urges the court to take notice of the violation of the PTI founder’s basic rights and initiate proceedings against the non-implementation of the court's orders.Furthermore, the petition requests the court to summon a report on the full implementation of its previous orders.
