Matric, Inter exam results to be declared by Sept 15

Sindh Universities & Boards Secretary Muhammad Abbas Baloch has issued the schedule for all the education boards of the province to declare matriculation and intermediate examination results by September 15.

A press release issued on Wednesday evening stated that to ensure uniformity and timely delivery of exam results, all boards across the province have been directed to declare the results by September 15.

Results in Larkana will be declared by August 29, and in Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas by September 5. In Karachi the general group’s results will be declared by August 30, and the science group’s by September 15.

KU elections

The University of Karachi has announced the results of the Academic Council Elections from the constituencies of associate professors, assistant professors/lecturers.

KU Registrar Prof Dr Abdul Waheed, who was also the returning officer, said Dr Mohsin Ali and Dr Sadia Mahmood have been elected to the council for the two associate professor seats, while Dr Maroof Bin Rauf, Dr Nida Ali, Dr Syed Faizanul Hassan Naqvi and Syed Ghufran Alam have been elected for the four assistant professor/lecturer seats.

Dr Waheed said Dr Ali bagged 50 votes, Dr Sadia 38 votes, Alam 172 votes, Dr Naqvi 153 votes, Dr Nida 152 votes and Dr Rauf 134 votes.

The elections had been held at the Arts Auditorium from 9:30am to 1pm on Wednesday. These elected members will hold office for three years from the date of the first meeting of the council.
