MANSEHRA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Revenue Nazir Ahmad Abbasi and Taimur Saleem Swati have been named as president and senior vice-president of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, respectively, in Hazara Division.
Provincial General Secretary of PTI Ali Asghar Khan named the office-bearers through a notification. The notification clearly indicated that fresh office-bearers had been named on the instruction of the Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the provincial president of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.
Taimur Saleem Swati, who is the younger brother of Babar Saleem Swati, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly speaker, had served as district president of the party in Mansehra earlier.
“Taimur Swati has replaced Babar Saleem Swati, who had tendered his resignation following assuming the office of the KP Assembly speaker,” the notification revealed.
Swati thanked his party leadership for reposing their confidence in him and honouring him with such a prestigious position.
“I would leave no stone unturned in discharging my new responsibilities as party’s senior vice president in the region,” he told reporters.
