AI Bootcamp concludes at GIK Institute

SWABI: The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bootcamp arranged by the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute concluded here on Wednesday.

An award-distribution ceremony was organized at the end of the training where Ashar Aziz, chairman, SkyElectric Inc. was the chief guest. Engr. Salim Saifullah Khan, President, Society for the Promotion of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Pakistan (SOPREST), the parent body of GIK, and

Executive Director, SOPREST, Shakil Durrani and Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Rector GIK Institute also graced the occasion.

The GIK Institute hosted the bootcamp in collaboration with SkyElectric. It was part of the corporate social responsibility initiatives of both organizations and the camp was run for about two months. The organizers said the main objective was to impart high-impact knowledge and skill sets to those who recently graduated in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics disciplines. As many as 50 participants were selected.

Ashar Aziz said AI-trained professionals would play a pivotal role in driving technological progress and economic growth in future.

Engr Salim Saifullah Khan underscored the importance of the initiative in equipping the younger generation with the tools necessary to navigate and excel in the rapidly evolving technological landscape. Prof Khalid emphasized GIK Institute’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in engineering education and is always ready to play its due role

in imparting contemporary education to youngsters of the country.

The other speakers said the participants gained valuable insights from leading experts and engaged in collaborative learning experiences.
