MANSERHA: Residents of Baffa and its adjoining localities on Tuesday demanded the provincial government to upgrade the local health facility to the Tehsil Headquarters hospital.
“We want better healthcare and hospitalisation services for patients and it could only be possible when that health facility would be upgraded to the THQ level,” Abdul Shakoor Lughmani, a former contender of the provincial assembly constituency, told reporters.
Lughmani, who earlier in the day led a delegation of residents in their meeting with District Health Officer Dr Faisal Zaman and Medical Superintendent Dr Naeem Awan, said that patients were being referred to public sector hospitals in Mansehra and Abbottabad due to limited healthcare and hospitalisation services.
“We appreciate the sincere efforts made by the MS Dr Naeem to equip the health facility with modern surgical and other equipment but its upgradation would address the rest of the issues,” he added.
