Islamabad : Five workers of an industry in Hummak, Islamabad were killed after roof factory caved in when labours of the factory were working in a section of the factory, police said.
Nine workers were buried under the concrete roof, however the rescuers rescued four workers alive but five crushed to death who were badly trapped under the debris. Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and were able to retrieve the five individuals from the rubble, transporting them to the hospital, where two were in critical condition.
The deceased were identified as Naqi Mohammad, Sajjad, Mohammad Qadeer, Mohammad Ejaz and Mohammad Tanveer and their bodies have been shifted to PIMS hospital while body of Tanveer has not yet taken out of the debris. The rescuers are trying to take his dead body. According to rescue sources, the deceased workers included four from Taunsa Sharif and one from Karachi. The rescue teams have successfully saved four workers from the collapsed roof.
