KARACHI: An important meeting of officials of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) and provincial sports department will be held on Wednesday (today).
The Secretary General POA Khalid Mehmood has reached Karachi to participate in the meeting and review the preparations for 35th National Games.
Sources said that the participants of the meeting would review the preparation for National Games, scheduled to be held in Karachi early next year (Jan-Feb 2025).
Sources said that the SOA will present its report to POA regarding the preparation.
Sources said that all matters related to the National Games would be discussed in the meeting and many things would be finalised.
The meeting will discuss final dates of the National Games, arrangement of opening and closing ceremonies, venues, transport, accommodation of players and officials, and allowances.
A number of competitions of various disciplines will be held outside National Coaching Centre, including athletics.
Sources mentioned that the preparation for National Games in Karachi would be accelerated after this meeting due to the presence of POA General Secretary Khalid Mehmood.
