BKMC directors assume charge

PESHAWAR: The newly appointed Hospital Director of Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC) and Dr Khalid Masud, and Nursing Director Meehan Khan assumed charge of their positions on Monday.

Dr Khalid Masud has previously served as hospital director at the same facility in 2021, and was then appointed as hospital director of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad.

Before his appointment at HD BKMC, he had served at the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) as OPD manager and then hospital director.Similarly, Mehran Khan previously served as nursing director for over two years at BKMC.

The chairman Board of Governors, along with other board members, congratulated the newly appointed directors and urged them to take further steps to improve healthcare services at the BKMC.

The management, faculty members of Gajju Khan Medical College (GKMC), and other administrative officers of the hospital congratulated the newly appointed directors.Both the directors stated that providing the best possible healthcare to the patients is their top priority.

Dr Khalid Masud paid tribute to the former acting Hospital Director, Dr Amjad Mahboob, for his contributions to the institution and its development.He reaffirmed his commitment to utilise his expertise and the available resources for making BKMC the best health facility.

Dr Khalid Masud said offering the quality of care would be a priority for him and his team.Besides BKMC, Dr Khalid Masud was also shortlisted for the position of HD in the Mardan Medical Complex but he avoided appearing before the interview panel, apparently, he was already selected for Swabi, where he had improved the health services.

On the other hand, Nursing Director Mehran Khan highlighted the importance of Nursing department in any hospital. He pledged to enhance nursing care at the hospital, focusing on the well-being of both patients and the nursing staff.
