Usman hopes to sweep series
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Shaheens ace batter Usman Khan admitted that the pitch at the Islamabad Club Ground was not ideal for batting.
“We were lucky to have won the toss and our bowlers ran through Bangladesh A team, giving us an easy target to chase which we managed in 28th over.” Usman said he fully enjoyed batting and was unlucky to have missed the century.
“I enjoyed my batting here and was unlucky to have missed the century. Together with Haseebullah we raised a winning second wicket stand.” Usman, who also represented Pakistan in T20 cricket, added that over the last few months, the backup team worked hard.
“During the tour of Australia and later here in four-day matches, the coaches worked hard on us and now we have attained a standard where we can put up our best effort.” The top-order batsmen hoped to sweep the three-match series. “We have got a very good combination. Hopefully we will be in a position to win the series easily.”
