LAHORE: Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja has attributed the current slump in the national men’s team’s pace bowling to their defeat against India in the Super 4s stage of the Asia Cup 2023.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Raja criticised the decision to opt for an all-pace attack. He argued that the confidence crisis among the pacers began after their defeat against India, where they were exposed to the attacking tactics of the Indian batting lineup.
He also questioned the decline in the pace of Pakistan’s fast bowlers, suggesting that their lack of speed and one-dimensional approach made them vulnerable.
