The Dawood Foundation's MagnifiScience Centre on Monday launched its latest exhibit, Ocean Odyssey, on the third floor of the Shahzada Dawood Building.
The new section was inaugurated by Dawood Foundation trustee and Vice Chairman of Dawood Hercules Corporation Abdul Samad Dawood. The Ocean Odyssey section showcases a range of interactive exhibits that explore the beauty and importance of oceans.
The visitors can discover the secrets of the five oceans, understand their role in producing oxygen and regulating climate, and experience the vibrant marine life in the Centre's aquarium. The exhibit also addresses ocean pollution and the need for conservation efforts.
"We are thrilled to unveil Ocean Odyssey, an exhibit designed to inspire curiosity and a greater appreciation for our oceans," said Abdul Samad. "This section highlights the beauty of marine life and the ocean’s vital role in sustaining life on Earth. We hope that visitors will leave with a deeper understanding of the need to protect these ecosystems."
He said he was a big fan of what his team had put together. “This is a place where fun and curiosity come together,” he said, adding that the MagnifiScience Centre offered something new every time and it was a source of inspiration, education, learning and development.
He said the centre offered learning about a magnificent world “that we all inhabit together but also take for granted.” “It is a wonderful experience to sit together and see what choices we are making and how we make better choices that not only make our lives better but also of those who inhabit the world with us,” he said.
The MagnifiScience Centre, home to 408 diverse science exhibits, is designed to foster curiosity and learning. The Ocean Odyssey is now open to the public, offering an engaging educational experience for all ages.
