PESHAWAR: The three-day summer camp arranged by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) and the Ayesha Foundation concluded at the scenic Naran area in Kaghan valley on Sunday.

Over 50 male and female participants attended the “Learn and lead initiative research methodologies summer camp and participated in the cleanliness drive at Lake Saif-ul-Muluk and Lalazar in Butakundi in Naran.

The organizers later also gave away certificates to the participants at the end of the camp.Holding the summer camp was aimed at raising awareness among the youths about tourism in the province and preserving the natural beauty through a cleaning campaign.

On this occasion, biodegradable bags were also distributed among the youths so that the people living there and tourists visiting these places stop using non- biodegradable plastic bags and start using eco-friendly bags.

According to the experts, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is rich in natural beauty and is the preferred destination for the tourists to visit.It may be mentioned that camping sites are available at Lake Saif-ul-Muluk, Lulusar Lake, Dudipatsar Lake, Babusar Top and Lalazar in Kaghan valley.

In these sites, tourists can experience a clear sky full of stars, at night besides enjoying magnificent views of early dawn; the view of the lakes and surrounding mountains, especially the most eye-catching view of Malika Parbat.
