A day of upsets at LRC
LAHORE: There were upsets in all the top four positions of the races with favourites slipping to either second or third places or pushed out of top three here at Lahore Race Club on Sunday.
Fakhar-e-Sahi began the activity at the LRC with a big upset of the day by taking the paddock by surprise while Maze came second and Abdullah Love, which was expected to take the place was third.
In the second race, Agha Prince from nowhere galloped to the top winning ahead of Silent Melody, which too produced an astonishing run. Super Power also surprised the pundits by taking third place.
In the third and featured race, Speed Of Fire, which was on fluke took the first position while favourite Nazma Queen finished second. Lady Champion, however, settled for third position. In the final race of the day, Stardom, which was not even close to the favourites, turned out to be the winner. A similar performance was given by Self Belief for second place and Absolutely Not that was on fluke managed to have third position.
