DADU: Three children tragically lost their lives after consuming toxic food from a hotel in Mehar, Dadu district. The incident occurred Saturday night in the Kasai Mohalla area, falling under the jurisdiction of the B-Section Police Station. Despite 24 hours passing, the exact cause of the deaths remained a mystery.

Deputy Commissioner Dadu, Mukhtiar Abro formed a three-member inquiry committee headed by Assistant Commissioner Mehar. The committee includes the Medical Superintendent of Taluka Hospital Mehar, DSP Mehar, and the Assistant Director of the Food Authority.

On the orders of SSP Dadu, Amir Saud Magsi, the B-Section Police Mehar have sealed the hotel and taken the owner, Suneet Kumar, and the cook, Manzoor Khaskheli, into custody.

The tragic incident unfolded when Sikandar Sheikh, a resident of Kasai Mohalla, brought food from a nearby hotel. After consuming the food, his two children died, and later, their mother passed away from the shock of losing them. The father and another son, who were being treated at Larkana Hospital, have been discharged and returned home after their condition improved.

In response to the family’s demands, post-mortem examinations of the two deceased children are being conducted, after which their funeral prayers will be offered.
