RDA issues notices to owners of seven illegal housing schemes

Rawalpindi : The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate RDA has issued notices to the owners of seven illegal housing schemes namely Gilgit City in mouza Kohala, Mehmood Town (K & M Construction and Developers (Pvt) Ltd.) in mouza Misriot, Hamdard City in mouza Dheri, Top View City in mouza Piswal, Wanni in Tehsil Taxila, Green Hurtus in mouza Chakri, illegal Land Subdivision near Gandhara City and Farm Land Estate located in mouza Adyala near DHA, Tehsil and District Rawalpindi for illegally marketing, booking of plots through print and electronic media, according to an RDA spokesperson, says a press release.

He said that these illegal housing schemes are encouraging the general public to buy plots fraudulently on the name of RDA and stealing their life earned deposits due to which the RDA has issued notices. The RDA spokesperson said that the Director General RDA, Kinza Murtaza has directed the MP&TE Directorate that action may be taken against illegal advertisements / marketing and First Information Reports (FIRs) will be filed against the owners of illegal housing schemes. He said that the MP&TE Directorate has taken notice and warned the general public to avoid illegal housing schemes and not to fall prey to any illegal housing society. The sponsors/developers of this scheme are illegally advertising their housing schemes and offering to sell plots without obtaining approval from RDA which is violation of rule 46 (1) of Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021.
