ISLAMABAD: FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial on Friday formed a working group for reforms comprising 32 senior officials to achieve the goals of tax collection.
As per Notification No. 2248 IR1 2024, effective 23 August 2024, the FBR Reforms Working Group for Revenue Mobilization has been constituted consisting of twenty-two Inland Revenue Service and ten Pakistan Customs Service officers up to Grade-20. This working group will consider, formulate and implement recommendations to meet revenue collection targets for the current financial year. The FBR Reforms Working Group on Revenue Mobilization has been directed to reach an emergency meeting today on August 24 at 9 am.
The consultative meetings of the Working Group will continue till Tuesday 27th August 2024 and will go on till 30th August if necessary.
This notification has been issued with the approval of Secretary Revenue Division and FBR chairman. A copy has been sent to the Special Assistant to Chairman FBR, all FBR members, all Chief Commissioners, all Chief Collectors, Director Generals and other officials concerned.
