President summons NA, Senate sessions

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the sessions of the National Assembly and the Senate on August 26 (Monday) and August 27 (Tuesday), respectively.

Both the houses will meet at 5pm. According to an announcement by the President’s House on Saturday, the president convened the sessions under Article 54 (1) of the Constitution. According to sources, the agenda for the NA session was not yet released. However, there is indication that the government intends to bring some important legislation during the NA session.
